Dave Snyder is an award-winning design executive with over 23 years of experience developing high-performance in-house and agency teams, focused on building modern, multi-billion dollar brands and digital products. Twitter 🐦

At Twitter, Dave transitioned from leading a multidisciplinary team focused on revenue innovations to heading the group aimed at enhancing user discovery and connection. Initially, he drove a diverse team to unlock a significant revenue increase by defining a forward-thinking vision for the Ad Formats and Developer Platform (DES) teams, orchestrating cross-functional alignment that secured executive approvals for the vision and subsequent roadmaps. Dave lead a team of principle product designers, content designers, UI motion designers, UX engineers, and product strategists to lay a robust (yet attainable) vision for revenue generation. Transitioning roles, Dave was tasked with building a team of ten product designers and managers focused on Twitter’s engagement algorithm that acted as Twitter's connective tissue. The goal was to enrich the user experience by making it more personalized, contextual, and rewarding, with a particular focus on enhancing the Home Timeline, Explore & Search surfaces.

Firstborn 🫃

For over 11 years Dave led creative work at Firstborn, an acclaimed digital agency headquartered in NYC and acquired by Dentsu in 2011. Three of those years were spent as Firstborn's Chief Creative Officer where he also worked across the larger Dentsu network of 40,000 global employees to elevate the role and need for digital innovation and creativity.

During his tenure, Firstborn made many publications’ “Most Innovative Companies” lists—most recently Fast Company in 2019. At Firstborn, Dave was responsible for driving the creative & design culture, vision and spirit of the agency as much as he is on the hook for the creative output of a large multidisciplinary team for a wide range of consumer brands like: Beats, Adidas, Foot Inc., Royal Caribbean, UNIQLO, Peloton, Mountain Dew, PepsiCo, Chevron, All Nippon Airways (ANA), Lancôme, L’Oreal and Jet.com.

FL2 ⚫️

Prior to Firstborn, Dave co-ran and grew FL2, an award winning and internationally recognized interactive design studio in Denver, CO. There he worked on a wide variety of projects—from interactive microsites and corporate websites to digital products and touchscreens—for brands like Boa Technologies, American Crew, Sims Snowboards and Vision Streetwear.

Dot-Bust ❌

From ‘99-’05, Dave lived the startup life—developing the brand and digital platform for an early stage mobile content company (nReach) that was later acquired. He was also the design lead on two successful redesigns of the eToys.com and KBtoys.com.

Beginnings 🛹

If it weren’t for skateboarding Dave wouldn’t have ended up where he is today. Not because he was sponsored, but because it led him to photography, which taught him composition, then to photoshop and then to this new(ish) thing called the internet where he learned to code and design to share his love for the art.
